Regardless of where they come from, how far they have fallen, or how long they have been sober. Everyone recovers at their own pace and needs various levels of support along the way. Our goal is to have multiple levels of homes to help at all stages of recovery to ease the transition from treatment to independently living in the community. If you are able to be a part of a recovery residence, it will be important to understand what type of environment is present.

Stepping Stones Sober Living in St. Paul

One Alcoholic, one Addict helping another he found strength and hope in numbers. With the help of the 12 principles of recovery Jesse opened Steppingstones Recovery Homes in 2022 to give a chance to others who were willing to travel the road of recovery, and need some help along the way. A sober home or sober living home is a type of location you can live for a period of time after completing rehab. These locations do not provide specific addiction treatment, so you should continue to see your outpatient counselors for this. The programs within them also differ from one location to the next. Most often, a sober home will help you by providing on-site or nearby 12-step programs.

They offer a higher level of focus on social support, giving you someone to talk to and help you. They also provide the same types of services most sober homes do, such as helping you to make it to 12-step meetings and teaching you life skills. Each Rockland Recovery has a dedicated house manager whose responsibility is to ensure the well being of the house occupants. All with at least one year of sobriety, the house managers show a commitment to working a 12-step program in their daily lives, and demonstrate through their actions that they can lead by example. Our founder Jesse was saved by the love, support, and accountability that was created by the sober living home he unintentionally created for himself after finding his own rock bottom.

However, walking back into the same life — the same home, surrounded by the same people and often in the same high-risk environment — is never ideal.
